"I could not realize carrots in a chili dish, but since I had some chopped from another soup recipe, I tossed them in. They added a little sweetness as I knew they would. However, I also use cocoa powder ( 2 teas.) as another viewer had mentioned.
I use cocoa because it adds depth, color and cuts some of the sweetness of the carrots.

" Of all the recipes for this dish, this one is the best because of the creamy sauce.
I usually add water chestnuts for some crunch, but I omitted them.

"I think I know why the cakes are sinking. I just made one and it has sunk and the center is not done within the hour and 20 min. time frame. The culprit is cake flour I think. It is too refined.

About Me

I love to cook. To this day I have yet to patent some of my cooking utensils because of the expense to get a trademark, or patent.
Cooking shows might be interested in some of my ideas for a show. But how do I get started without someone taking my ideas???
Well, I guess I will just have to post my recipes and some of my ideas here.

Favorite Foods

My favorite foods include a variety of comfort foods although I will dabble in gourmet from time to time.
Chilli
Mac and Cheese
Cornbread stuffing
Salmon Croquettes

When I want to impress my family and friends,
I create fish dishes using salmon or tilapia.

Pasta is interesting enough. I create a lot of sauces with capers, various mushrooms, creme fraiche,sour cream.
