I make this often, with a few changes...
The peppers and onions get overcooked, so I don't add them until the meat is almost tender.
I don't use essence, but my seasonings are almost the same except that I use lots of fresh minced garlic and way less salt.
Serve with boiled red...

I make this often, using olive oil, orange or pineapple juice instead of lime, one half the honey and butter. Sometimes I add a dash of cayenne.
Great with Mexican style rice and tortilla chips on the side.
Works with any kind of chicken.
Perfect recipe, versatile, economical...
