Reviewed Parker House Rolls
"Loved the idea of freezing them for later use! I have never attempted from scratch rolls on Thanksgiving, but will be serving these this year. Used a digital thermometer to make sure I had the correct water temp...but my yeast did not bubble. Didn't get the rise I wanted (nor did it resemble the photo) after 2 1/2 hours. Was easy to "roll out" with fingers. Made sure to measure & cut as the recipe stated. Was thicker than 3/4". I ended up with two additional strips, so I did bake those off so my husband and I could sample them. Golden brown, great texture and flavor. If you want a light, airy roll...these are not for you. I will make them again!
