"I tried both Alton Browns Tres Leche and Emeril's. They are both excellent, Emerils is a bit sweeter and airy and Altons more dense and buttery. Both recipes are delicious and easy.""

Reviewed Coconut Macaroons

"Super easy, I added flaked almonds(5% by weight) and 50% macaroon coconut (dried so absorbs condensed milk)--and 50% shredded that you buy at the store. Scooped onto sprayed parchment(crisco spray)baked till a little toast looking. Dipped some in coating chocolate. "

"I work in R&D in a bakery and just wanted to try this against our bag mix. Like another reviewer said I 'd reduce sugar to 1 1/4 cups,
I already had a finer sugar on board so maybe that is why at 1 3/4 cups it was sooo sweet. Used "Angel Food" extract but heard from other bakery people with 50 years experience a "little" almond extract would be"
