Reviewed Flour's Famous Banana Bread
"This is a great recipe, easy to make and the bread is comforting, I especially like the idea to get rid of the overripe yucky bananas in my freezer.
One thing I would change is the amount of oil - as I uses liquid vegetable oil I would cut it down to 1/3 cup so it doesn't feel that wet.
I would usually make these into Cupcake size rather than a "
Reviewed Chewy Sugar Cookies
"This is a great recipe for simple flavor ( generally it tastes milky ), easy-to-get ingredients and great treat for family.
The only problem I met is : The aftertaste of the Baking Soda is quite strong..... But with a cup of tea or coffee it would get neglected.
It's quite sugary cookies and I like to bake it through to make it crunchy all over."

About Me
I love baking, especially bread - Rusty, country, Italian, perfect soft dinner rolls, etc.
Why do I like baking? The one main reason is that I like to experiment :
- " More water? Less water? "
- " More salt? Less Salt? "
- " Different flours? Protein level? "
- " Baking time, temperature and oven spring? "
I like to learn more from changing some factors.
So far I don't use bread recipe on foodnetwork.com - it never gives you enough idea as bread making is painfully detailed and confusing. I only follow bread recipes from cookbook. But I really like to hunt some biscuit or cake recipes here. And I like to share the experiment results and experience I obtained during my baking.
Favorite Foods
- Biscuit and cakes with hot tea contains no milk and no sugar.
- Pure natural sweet lemon juice, or anything refreshing.
- Home-made ice cream.
- Sweet & sour pork or chicken, beef noodle, or pretty much any chinese cuisin.
- Western-style comforting soup with toasted rusty bread.
More and more....
