Reviewed Cauliflower Soup with Anchovy Breadcrumb Topping

Sep 18, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is very tasty. The topping is awesome. For me it took a lot longer than 15 minutes to get the cauliflower tender. I had to omit the wine because I didn't have any, so I added more chicken stock. I'm wondering how it would taste with some roasted garlic??? I will definitely try this one again."

The sweet and salty flavors in here are delicious! Next time I will cook the bacon longer than I did. Make sure it is very crispy if you try this recipe. It was still very tasty. Hope my party guests are open minded and give this a try. Some still think it sounds odd, but it is sooooo good."

These were tasty, but the texture seemed a little off to me. I thought they would be creamier. I'm pretty sure I figured out why. Next time I will sift the powdered sugar and very slowly incorporate it with the peanut butter. It should state this in the recipe. Otherwise the mixture is crumbly and difficult to form into balls. However, the flavor...

Delicious flavor! I will definitely make this again. I used bacon instead of pancetta because that's what I had. Next time I will follow the recipe. I wanted to use the whole box of ditalini, and I thought I added enough liquid to adjust for that, but I guess not, because it was more of a pasta dish than a soup. But it was still awesome. I really thought this was going to be incredible, but it was just ok. I thought the chicken was very moist, but kind of bland. I seasoned liberally with salt and pepper, but the chicken itself had little flavor. The sauce tasted better, but was kind of greasy. Don't know what went wrong, but I probably won't try this one again.""

Reviewed Butternut Squash Soup with Cinnamon Whipped Cream and Fried Shallots

Nov 5, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I am wondering if the soapy taste some experienced was because they did not wash the outside of the orange before letting it bathe in their soup??? The chemicals/pesticides could cause that soapy taste. I made this tonight and it was wonderful! The soup is delicious and the cinnamon cream and fried shallots put it over the top. Don't skip the gar...

Honestly, I thought this was just ok when made as written. I would use less oil next time. I added some red pepper flakes and then some tobasco to give it some heat and flavor.... lots of salt needed. I remember chimichurri being a lot more spicy, maybe with garlic, and flavorful. It was good after some adjustments. I think the chimichurri should"

I made this today and thought it was tasty. Love the use of avocado. One lime gave me almost 3TB, so I didn't add the second lime. Substituted linguine for penne and omitted the nuts. I also added halved grape tomatoes which gave it a nice sweetness. I think I like it better cold than warm, but good both ways. My only disappointment was that my 8 "

It was good, but I was expecting it to be fantastic. The flavor was good, but I did not like the texture at all.
