I love to cook (and eat). My husband says that Food Network is my ESPN because it is always on. I'm always trying new recipes, which can be a problem - I often forget really good dishes that I've made. I'm not the kind of cook who has a core of tried-and-true recipes to fall back on.
I have hundreds of cookbooks - really like Joy of Cooking, Sandra Lee's books, Ina Garten's books.
Favorite FoodsSince my weight is a constant problem, I mostly cook healthy dishes. So not a lot of baking or fried foods. I really love to make soup - posole, Rachael Ray's stuffed cabbage "stoup", chicken noodle, etc. I also make lots of chicken and fish dishes. Lately I made a great cod in foil packets with veggies, a touch of vermouth and orange zest. Really good!
Favorite restaurants: Bonefish Grill, Ippolitos
