Just made this in honor of Derby Day. Subbed in store bought turkey and used half regular milk half heavy cream. Sooooo delicious and indulgent. A little goes a long way. Great recipe for a special occasion.

Great! I did not use the fatback - just olive oil and added a little extra salt. I haven't made it with the fatback, so I'm not missing anything. My kids love fettuccine alfredo and when I saw this in the magazine, I knew I had to give it a try. I added sauteed chicken and I also added chopped leeks to the garlic. I steamed fresh broccoli and carrots to add the veggies. I increased the sauce volume a bit and it was a HUGE HIT!!! This will definitely be on my winter rotation!""
