"My personal taste required that I cut back on the spice a little; I'm extremely sensitive to highly spiced (even modestly spiced) foods. But even with the reduced spice content this is a wonderful recipe. I love this little gal .....
Can't wait for Sunday morning when I can enjoy a nice cup of Chai tea and learn from what she has to offer.
About Me
Cooking since I could reach the stove top. Still learning and loving the life long experience. Retired and spend much of my time doing volunteeer work, which includes cooking for up to 150 guests.
My passion is opening the refrigerator and creating tasty and healthy menu items from left overs. I also like to work with new ethnic recipes whenever I can. I prepare foods from virtually all cultures based upon recipes I've collected over the past fifty years.
My pet-peeve is dealing with people who make healthy eating claims based upon some theory they read on the Internet or in a book where there is no credible evidence to proove the validity of their claims.
Favorite Foods
My favorite dish to prepare is a braised pork shoulder with a flavorful but not spicey sauce.
I am "famous" for my lamb stew and I bake a wide range of very good breads.
My favorite restaurant(s) are Frank Fats, Biba's, and the Kabob House in Sacramento. I also enjoy Deigo's in Grass Valley, CA.
