About Me

I am a 63 yr old mother of 1 and grandmother of 1...I love too cook and I love to eat good food...I have been cooking since I was about 7 yrs old when my mom taught me to make oatmeal for breakfast...I grew up eating international foods--Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Filipino and good old American comfort food...if I had to pick a favorite, I would say Mexican but I have to say nothing beats a cold meatloaf sandwich or a really good pot roast...I am an old school cook in that I seldom measure unless baking goodies...I am constantly tasting as I assemble my meal so when friends ask for a recipe all I can do is guess at the amounts but I always advise they taste as they go along...I appreciate trying new and different foods and I am always experimenting in the kitchen--overall with good results but I have had some disasters...all in all, I LOVE TO EAT REALLY GOOD FOOD PREPARED FROM THE HEART!
