"This was the best green bean casserole we have ever eaten! We almost didn't make it because of all of the awful green bean casseroles we have been served but we decided to chance it.
I am not sure how Alton pulled off the oven trick but I, like several others, had to fry the onions in order to get them crisp up properly.
Make this recipe, you will enjoy the taste and flavor. Skip the oven and just fry those onions and you'll be hearing praises all night long.
