Reviewed cornish hens au vin

2 days ago on FoodNetwork.com

I was looking for a stove top recipe for hens and this one was most appealing for it's simplicity. I basically followed the recipe, but since I was serving to my family with kids, I cut the wine in half and added some chicken broth. It was just divine! I did take the advice of another reviewer and simmered the hens much longer, 2 hours on low. They...

This recipe was a major hit with my family - it's just delicious. I did cut the wine down to 1 1/4 cups out of fear it would overpower the dish and cut the pasta down to 1 lb as I thought that may have been a typo. It came out perfect! I will be making this again and again!"

I made these for Sunday dinner with a lamb roast. My family and guests went wild over these potatoes. Everyone asked for the recipe. What I like best about them is that there is no butter or milk and lots of flavor. Excellent, thanks Giada.""

Reviewed Braised Hoisin Beer Short Ribs with Creamy Mashed Yukons and Sesame Snow Peas

Sep 15, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've made many braised short ribs recipes and I do not exaggerate by saying this one is by far the very best. My family loved it. I love the beer (new castle ale rather than red wine, the ginger and garlic rather than vegetables, and the hoisin adds a nice savory note to the sauce. I followed the recipe exactly, wouldn't change a thing. I'll be...
