I've made a salad like this for a long time. Sunny's recipe and mine are quite similar except I use thick salsa. SO good! Excellent recipe, Sunny!

I'll have to watch the show to see if these measurements are correct. I agree, doesn't sound right.

I had to laugh at the description of the show stating salads are boring. Far from it! I eat them everyday and change them up as well. I'd give this recipe a try but will watch the show to see if the ingredients are correct. Something seems off with the dressing portion. Otherwise, it sounds good!

I've made this salad and variations of it and always wonderful! I know simmering the corn takes out some of the starch, but I use it straight off the cob without cooking it. Very tasty, crisp and delicious. White corn is the best!

We used whatever was available in the garden. A true classic summertime salad that's been around forever. I would bet RR's mom made this salad for her family as well.

I have tried this recipe and it is good. My only complaint is the recipe calls for parsley and the photo doesn't show it but has capers on it. The recipe doesn't state capers, but I add them for extra flavor.

May 3, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I made these into individual tarts and they are delicious! I read the reviews and went along with the suggestion(s) on using half the sugar in the curd and it was perfect to my taste. I used 'large' eggs, as that was what I had, and only four which was fine. The curd took about 15 minutes to thicken with constant stirring. I'd definitely make...

It could be the brand of tomatoes you are using. I have found that taste varies from brand to brand. Try an Italian brand and use crushed tomatoes. I find the whole tomatoes aren't as flavorful IMO.

I make something similar called Penne A La Vodka. It calls for chopped pancetta, cooked until almost crispy, and you soak the pepper flakes for an hour before adding to the pancetta. It is delicious!! This rest of the recipe is pretty much the same.

Great recipe! I made it as stated except I only had two cups of chocolate chips, so I didn't add any additional to the batter. However, it turned out great without them. Very moist and chewy, exactly the kind of brownie I was hoping for. I'd definitely make these again."

Reviewed Crispy Kale "Chips"

Jan 21, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this recipe and had to pull it out of the oven after 12 minutes. The smell was a combination of cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower all cooking at once. Made the house stink. However, the few that did crisp up tasted great. The rest was wilted, like spinach, and I will use it in a salad. If you can tolerate the odor, they are good. "
