Reviewed Succulent Braised Pork

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is one of my favorite recipes! I don't use a dutch oven, though, I throw it in the crockpot before work. When I get home, it's ready! It goes really well with Melissa's glazed carrots, too. I've even started making the carrots and adding them to the pork in the crockpot for extra flavor...amazing!! "

Reviewed Guacamole

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is without a doubt the best guacamole I've ever tasted! I've made it several times for parties and it's always gone within an hour of placing it on the table!"

Reviewed Pat's Roast Beef

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've made this numerous times and 9 out of 10 it came out amazing! This last time, I must have gotten a bad cut (I made the mistake of buying a pot roast and it was so dry, it was inedible).
The sauce is fabulous, just go easy on the wine and the salt or it can be overpowering. "

Reviewed Potato Salad

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Best potato salad ever!"

Reviewed Pasta Ponza

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is my kids' favorite pasta recipe! It says to drain the capers but I just throw the juice in there, too, and it adds a nice kick. Adding extra tomatoes is always a good idea, too! "

Reviewed Lemon Blossoms

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The first few times I made these, they were amazing. However, the last two times, the batter has turned out so thick it was nearly impossible to work with. Not sure what happened.."

Reviewed Goat Cheese Stuffed Eggs

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've made these for several parties and they are always a hit. The last time, I didn't have chutney or parsley and they were just as good!"

Reviewed Garlic Roast Chicken

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

All I can say about this recipe is OMG!! Everyone in my family loves this chicken! I always add extra lemon and carrots to mine. "

Reviewed Pasta with Tomato and Peas

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I used fresh tomatoes (rather than the paste) and extra Romano. It was delicious! Be sure to add the pasta water or it will dry out. "

Reviewed Polenta Birthday Cupcakes with Mascarpone Frosting

Apr 5, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I haven't made the cupcakes yet but I made the frosting. It came out very lumpy and not creamy at all. The flavor was very good, just not very pleasing to the eye"

Reviewed White Pizzas with Arugula

Mar 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This pizza could not be better!
I do have to agree with making sure your oven is clean. I made the mistake of ignoring this information the first time and my smoke detector went off for 20 minutes.
The dough is so tasty with the honey...and the arugula is so fresh on it. My whole family loves this pizza!"

Reviewed Pot Roast

Mar 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

so easy and even more delicious! I love that I can throw it in the crock pot before work and come home to that amazing smell in the evening. I usually turn the pot on at 7am, get home at 6pm and it is always perfect! I do like to add extra mushrooms..."

Reviewed Chinese Chilled Noodles

Mar 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Reviewed Gina's Banana Cupcakes

Mar 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've made these twice. The first time I used very ripe bananas, almost completely brown and they came out amazing!! I added chocolate chunks, too.
Last night I made them again and used bananas that weren't nearly as ripe. Even after baking for 25 minutes, they weren't cooked through. They stuck to the liners and I had to throw them all away....
