My Activity

Reviewed Israeli Couscous with Apples, Cranberries and Herbs

"This was a big hit at the party I took it to. Everyone came up to me to ask what was in it and to tell me how delicious it was. Only change I made was to use a sweet Fuji apple instead of a sour Granny Smith. I chopped up my rosemary as small as I could with a very sharp knife. This made it difficult to detect what it was mixed in with all the other herbs. However, I think that kept it from being overpowering and made this recipe standout. Israeli couscous is still new to a lot of people so it's fun to eat. Trader Joe's carries it. I already have plans to make it again.

Reviewed Sloppy Bombay Joes

"I so wanted to try it but was hesitant because my 5 kids can be fussy eaters. I only put half of a jalepeno in the sauce and left it out of the meat. I used tomato sauce and did not add the water. The kids kept telling me how yummy it was, and all I could say was "Really? You really like it?" It had Indian flavors but wasn't too "ethnic-y". They REALLY liked it.
