This was a big hit with everyone; it was extremely easy to make and had great flavor. I subbed ground turkey for the ground beef and doubled the amount of garlic. In my opinion, the only shortcoming of this recipe is that it needs a little pain. Next time I'm going to add a little pepper oil or minced peppers and see if the heat will this one ...

I followed this recipe verbatim and they turned out really well. Great texture with a nice, subtle flavor palette that allowed the pistachios to come through. I wouldn't want to change too much, as I wouldn't want to over power the nuts and parsley. A great alternative to your traditional starch side!"

This is a great recipe and a great way to make a rice dish that you don't have to babysit. I wanted to use brown rice but didn't want to alter the cook time, so I used instant brown and everything else was the same. Not very purist, but time was a factor and it turned out well. Tripled the garlic content, as well. "
