WOW!!! I made 1/2 the recipe, and it was fantastic. My family LOVED it and made me promise to bookmark it and make it again. The cake came out of my prepared non-stick 9" pan perfectly. The butter and brown sugar make this cake addicting.

Great as iced tea. I replaced the milk with 1/3 c. evaporated milk, tripled the cardamon pods after slicing them to release the seeds, added a pinch of allspice and a bit of vanilla. YUM, so much better than you can get at the coffee shop.

The look of this appetizer always impresses! I thought it a bit bland so I sprinkled some garlic salt on the bread in lieu of some of the regular salt. After toasting, I spread on some black olive tapenade before adding the tomato and mozzarella. Went from wonderful to fabulous!

Tastes as good as it looks, easy and impressive. I added some garlic salt in lieu of some of the regular salt since the mozzarella is bland. "

All rave reviews - I used apple-smoked bacon and grueyere that made it even better. Hint - I preped everything the night before (zip bags of all of the chopped ingredients and the egg mixture in a bowl. even the home made pie crust in plastic wrap) and then assembled in the morning and came out perfectly."

Wonderful, and easy. Even my college age son who doesn't like asparagus (not eggs so much either) loved it! Made it for a light dinner with sausage and toast on the side (or as my son says, "Brinner"."
