"I'm giving this 4 stars however the icing recipe needs adjustments. First you need a CUP of butter (2 sticks). I added 3 cups of powered sugar, then 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 Tbls of maple syrup (may be too much, we'll see) and then only needed 1 more cup of powdered sugar, not 4 cups like the recipe calls. So I only used 4 cups of powder"
"I am so disappointed in this recipe and can't believe it was a winner. Mine didn't rise at all and sunk in after I took them out. They are also very spongy. I'm with IcaRapp, I won't serve this to anyone. They have good flavor but, SO DISAPPOINTED! "

"Very good! Loved them and so did my co-works. Someone please tell me why she insists on using 3/4 of a pound of butter! It's easier to say 1 & 1/2 sticks of butter!!""
"OMG! These things are the BOMB!! I was worried about the cinnamon but it marries very well and the oatmeal lends a great texture!! SO GOOD!""

Cooking is a passion. Bake, fry, boil, it doesn't matter I love it all. I have my mom and grandma to thank for the inspiration and drive to cook. I have so many memories watching them make bread for bake sales for our church. I would watch in amazement as grandma would form the roll out of dough. I to this day I can't do it like she does, but that's the way it's suppose to be
