Reviewed Mini Vanilla Bean Yellow Cupcakes with Creamy Chocolate Frosting

"Oh.my.god. These are so good. The frosting is absolutely to die for, it was like magic! The cupcakes are very good, they are not too sweet - a very good vehicle for the frosting. Amazing!! The vanilla bean does make it special, but honestly, the frosting would make any cupcake taste good - I might save my beans for something else and just make basic cupcakes in the future."

Reviewed Caramelized Banana Cream Pie with Hazelnut Whipped Cream and Hazelnut Praline

"This is the best pie I have ever had, ever - hands down. That said, it took me THREE days to make!! They should change the time to make this pie, because the 1hr is a blatent lie. It might take 1hr to assemble. It even takes longer than 1hr to cook because you have to make the shell seperately. The whole thing is heavenly, the bananas, the whipped cream is just right for the sweetness of the crunchy topping. I will definitely make this again, when I have a long weekend to do it!

Reviewed Flatbread with White Bean Hummus, Caramelized Onions, Black Olives and Spanish White Anchovies

"This was not a good combination for me. It probably was mostly my own fault because of a substitution I made, but I am really surprised that it would make THAT much difference in the taste. I did not have any roasted garlic on hand and didnt want to wait to make it myself, so I just used less amount of raw garlic in the hummus and it was not pleasant at all with the caramelized onions. The tahini also did not meld well with the onions. Separately, everything tasted good, but when I combined it on the naan it was just not a good melding of flavors - especially the hummus and onions. So I give this a 3 rating admitting it is mostly my fault it didnt turn out, but I do think there should be SOME flexibility in a recipe without it turning out so unappealing.

Reviewed Pumpkin Maple Pecan Cheesecake

"This is one of the most delicious pumpkin desserts I have ever had. A few suggestions to help others: If you use a processor to completely blend cream cheese, then add the eggs in and blend one at a time, you do not need the water bath. I used cinnamon graham crackers instead of honey and it was a great compliment to the cheesecake. DO NOT boil the glaze at a rolling boil for 20min. If you just reach to a boil and simmer on low for about 15 min will turn out perfectly. Its thin at first, but after one night in the fridge it was a beautiful consistency.

Reviewed Pumpkin Maple Pecan Cheesecake

"This is one of the most delicious pumpkin desserts I have ever had. I added my ingredients in a slightly different way - I use a food processor to completely blend the cream cheese then added the eggs one at a time, then add the rest. If you do it this way you do not need a water bath and results in very few cracks. I also used cinnamon flavored graham crackers instead of the typical honey for the crust.
