These are good, really good. I saved the trouble and the calories and just baked them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper at 425 for 13-18 minutes. Some of my cookie sheets with darker bottoms cooked the bottoms of the pastries faster. That's why the large disparity in cooking times.

Giant waste of time and money. Last few "food network kitchen" recipes that I tried were not good. Maybe because they are anonymous and not selling a personal brand they are less inclined to test these before printing.
It says to use cutters in shapes but don't, they spread out and poof out of shape. Tasted ok. If you do use a cutter space...

This recipe, if made correctly, is delicious, but it does have some problems. When they made this on triple D they threw a jalapeno in the tomato sauce part with the rest of the bell peppers. I used regular flour and followed the recipe exactly other than that. I didn't have any problems. Next time I'll only make half the icing. It's really citrusy and the cookie is so good by itself it didn't really need all that icing. Next time I think I'll try the brown rice flour and maybe replace the butter with coconut oil and see what happens. "
