"Wonderful recipe on it's own, but as usual, I change things. I rendered down a thick slice of bacon then sauteed a small onion and 2 cloves of garlic in the fat, setting aside the bacon bits. About Me

I'm retired, but have a large family that I have always cooked for while raising the kids (10). I enjoy trying new reciepes, but usually try my own "twist" changing and improving them. I enjoy cooking all types of food and baking. I use no prepared foods, prefering to grow my own herbs and grind my own wheat! Vegies come from my own organic garden.

Every meal was like cooking a major holiday meal at out house and I always made sure there was enough for friends to share our table.

I did the dinner for all the night before my daughter Kelly's wedding, then did the reception dinner for all (about 150 folks) after the wedding. What fun!

Favorite Foods

I love to cook anything and bake my own breads.

I am known for my cookies!

Why eat out if you can do it at home for much less money?
