"Disappointing. Dry and the flavor is not nearly as good as a sticky gingerbread recipe I make every year from another cookbook. I won't make these again.

"This recipe and the countless variations of it are always a hit in our house, especially on busy holiday mornings. I have a kid who refuses to eat any veggies, so I leave out the scallions. I also add an extra egg or two and instead of bread, make it using Kings Hawaiian rolls. A busy cook's best friend and easy to double or triple if you have a houseful of guests. Great for a potluck brunch as well.
Reviewed Green Beans with Lemon and Garlic
"Although this dish was flavorful and easy to prepare, I couldn't help thinking how well the seasonings would go with shrimp. Don't think I would do this again with green beans, but liked the combination of flavors.
"Wow, was this great! I made this as a third day veggie to accompany leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. The electronic ignition went out on my oven on Thanksgiving Day, so I had to prepare this using only the microwave. Cooked the potatoes till almost done and then split and mashed the potatoes, spooned in the streusel and put it back in the microwave for about 4-5 minutes till the marshmallows melted. Didn't get a golden brown color, but the flavor was divine. Makes a great presentation on the plate as well. Would be awesome with some Cornish game hens too.

"OMG! Was this ever good! I follow a low carb food regime so I made some sugar-free gingersnaps from a Splenda recipe and substituted Splenda for the sugar in this. We had no Myers Rum so used Bacardi. Made my own whipped cream with a little vanilla and a touch of Splenda as I don't like it too sweet. It was wonderful and I didn't feel like I was overdoing on the carbs even with the rest of the Thanksgiving meal. I would definitely make this again.
