Reviewed Waldorf Salad
"well, I'll start by saying I did change it up a little bit, I used about a cup of greek yogurt, because it's a little bit thicker, and its a little bit more tangy. I didn't have any golden raisin's but i used a smaller amount of dark raisin's in it, tasted fine. My only complaint, is it was a little too sugary sweet for me. Doesn't taste like a salad.... more like a dessert. I like my waldorf to have more of a savory taste. So, I took the advice of another poster, and added a little diced onion THAT'S THE TICKET!
I wonder, what it would taste like if one would cut back on yogurt and added just a little blue cheese? Might be worth trying on the side?

Do try to make it in advance, and fridge it, let the flavors really get into the salad. :)
Reviewed Chocolate Chip Cookies
"Very good cookies! Lightly crunchy on the outside, and softer on the inside. I used chocolate chunks, and I noticed they didn't melt as much as I would've liked, But that could've just been the way the brand of chocolate was or something? still a very yummy cookie, and I'll make these again!
Reviewed Sauteed Yellow Squash
"Very good. fast, low key, yet very yummy. i'll make this again.
Reviewed Cinnamon-Chocolate Fudge
"I saw this on the show today, and made it tonight...For my first fudge making experience, ever.... THIS WAS AWESOME! and I'm very new to cooking, and it's soo sooo easy to make! I read the reviews and couldn't decide whether to use bittersweet or semi sweet (I'm not a huge dark chocolate fan,but didn't want to stray too far from the recipe). So, what I did was use a bag of the Ghirardelli Semi sweet and then just chopped up a 4oz bar of Ghirardelli bittersweet to balance everything out. It turned out fantastic!! And don't skip the salt at the end, it made it like.. a quadrillion times better! I kinda wish I would've added it to the bowl while I was mixing the stuff up. :)
About Me
Pretty new cook. Grew up in a small cabin with very small kitchen so there wasn't much room for me in there! So, now that I'm in a bigger place with my boyfriend (who is 6'3", thin as broom, and can't cook to save his life!) I can finally start playing in the kitchen. So far so good!
Ps. I think Alton Brown should adopt me. and Paula Dean can be my Grandma.
Favorite Foods
I first impressed my boyfriend by cooking tortellini in a garlic butter and sage sauce. It doesn't matter what else I make, nothing compares to that first meal I made him!
