Reviewed fried chicken

Nov 17, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I made this and at 12 minutes my chicken was not cooked all the way and the skin was very brown. Also a lot of the skin was falling off. I will try it again at 325 degrees for a 15-20 minutes. I've made Sunny Andersons cider brined chicken and have had much better luck with that. I'm thinking of morphing the two recipes to see what I can come up ...

One of the most delicious things I have ever cooked and eaten! I cooked mine under the broiler for about 6-7 minutes per side and it came out perfectly cooked, slightly pink on the inside. I made this and used 1/2 cup good quality chili powder and I do agree - it's a bit too much. Not that the soup isn't good, it is...just that the chili powder really over powers everything. next time I''ll use 1/4 cup. Also, I left the broccoli, squash, and zucchini out. I'll make this again - more lentils and less chili powder!"

I made pesto from the basil in our garden, roasted my own pepper and used good fontina plus turkey from the deli. It was good. Probably would be better with some home cooked roasted turkey pulled off the bone. Nice sandwich but not something I'll make again. I felt like it needed something more. "
