Reviewed Peach Whisky Chicken Recipe : Ree Drummond : Food Network

Jun 17, 2014 on

This is delicious. Like BBQ chicken in the oven. I made 1/2 of the recipe and the only substitution was apricot jam for the peach. It is easy to make and the flavor is really good. Makes a ton of sauce, even with only 1/2 of the recipe and I did serve it as a gravy over mashed potatoes. No problem, I just blended the peaches into the sauce and...

Yummy and I don't even like tomato juice. I made this because I am trying to cut some calories and this turns out to be about 144 calories for a really big bowl of soup. I dislike hot soup in the summer but the thought of a cold soup didn't sound all that good either. I needed something light for lunch and so I made 1/2 of the recipe because I...

Sorry, I did not like it either. Made exactly as directed. I knew it would be rich but this is just too much. Long time cook who should have known better. I should have listened to that voice in head that told me so but I usually have no issues with Ree's recipes. It was heavy, greasy and you could taste the mayo in it. which was an odd flavor...

Reviewed Cheesy Chicken Empanadas Recipe : Patrick and Gina Neely : Food Network

May 5, 2014 on

The empanadas are good but not great. Lots of work to make them but kind of fun if you have the time. I got 27 empanadas out of this recipe using a 3 inch cutter. The dipping sauce is not good however, I tossed it in the garbage, I then mixed up some ranch dressing with some BBQ sauce about 2 to 1 and used that for the dip. That was way better...

Tasty, not really, I thought it was bland as well, and I made it exactly as instructed. Needs salt and pepper to start and maybe some Rotel tomatoes to kick it up a notch. The jalapenos did not add any heat to this. I would not make again, no one loved it. Now what to do with the really big bowl of leftovers. Most of the time I really like Ree's...

Reviewed Georgia Cracker Salad

Jul 25, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

My sister made this and it is very, very good. My only complaint is that it is kinda "ugly" looking. So, to serve I would save some tomatoes for the top and maybe slices of hard boiled egg and garnish with some parsley or chives or the onion tops. Maybe add some frozen peas to the salad for some color in the salad. It's "ugly" but its very g"

These are the best and my other lemon bar recipe, that I thought was good, is history. I like the amount of filling in these. For me, it is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. I followed the recipe exactly except for letting the dough chill (I needed to make these fast) and they were so good. This will be the recipe I use from now on. "

Reviewed Mushroom Canapes

Mar 9, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This is very good. Fast, easy and delicious. I used a thinly sliced loaf of bagette which I did not toast. I like the "chew". I also used a can of cheese flavored Onion rings, only because that is what I bought by mistake. Everyone loves this, even the I hate mushroom people. I will be making this again and again. ""
