Tasty, not really, I thought it was bland as well, and I made it exactly as instructed. Needs salt and pepper to start and maybe some Rotel tomatoes to kick it up a notch. The jalapenos did not add any heat to this. I would not make again, no one loved it. Now what to do with the really big bowl of leftovers. Most of the time I really like Ree's...

My sister made this and it is very, very good. My only complaint is that it is kinda "ugly" looking. So, to serve I would save some tomatoes for the top and maybe slices of hard boiled egg and garnish with some parsley or chives or the onion tops. These are the best and my other lemon bar recipe, that I thought was good, is history. I like the amount of filling in these. For me, it is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. I followed the recipe exactly except for letting the dough chill (I needed to make these fast) and they were so good. This will be the recipe I use from now on. "

This is very good. Fast, easy and delicious. I used a thinly sliced loaf of bagette which I did not toast. I like the "chew". I also used a can of cheese flavored Onion rings, only because that is what I bought by mistake. Everyone loves this, even the I hate mushroom people. I will be making this again and again. ""
