Absoluteley addictive. The caramel is still very tricky for me. It takes a lot longer to turn amber than the recipe says. I took these to Christmas Eve with my In Laws and my mother-in-law called the next day to say that they could not stop eating them. Don't overdo the chocolate chips or you lose the caramel flavor. "

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this recipe. Good enough to make for company. I did cut down on the salt and about 1/2 of what the recipe called for and it came out great. When I browned the meat, the sugar turned black pretty quickly, so next time I will turn the heat down to medium to brown the brisket. I served it over Ingrid Hoffman's Green rice recipe"
