Reviewed perfect bacon cheeseburgers

Jun 1, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Made these burgers for dinner following the recipe exactly. My husband grilled them on a gas grill and overcooked them to medium well. They were still moist and delicious. Can't wait to try them again cooked medium or medium rare. I think they cooked so quickly because the burgers are light, not dense.

This came out so tasty. The cooking liquid is absolutely delicious. The flavor it imparts to everything cooked in it is amazing. Family loved it!

Reviewed Uncle Jeff's Tater Salad

Aug 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Best potato salad I've ever made. The tang from the vinegar adds such great flavor. I made a lot of it and when I went to take leftovers for lunch the next day, it was all gone. :-( This is now a new family favorite."

Reviewed Homemade Roast Beef Sandwich Au Jus

Jun 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Roast beef was good, but I have a lot of good roast beef recipes. The Au Jus was to die for. I didn't make the pickled radishes. The flavor of the Au Jus is so awesome, you can use deli roast beef and still have the most impressive sandwiches around. Everyone couldn't stop dipping and no one cared that we were having sandwiches for dinner."

Yuck! Way to many processed, salty ingredients. Boullion cubes? Really? Canned soup? Thin noodles, not dumplings. Flavorless except for all the excess salt. So many better chicken and dumpling recipes out there. Run, don't walk away from this one."

This is the tastiest chicken and dumplings I've ever had. Worth every minute of prep time. So much better than the thin noodle type dumplings. Everyone thought this meal was spectacular."

Reviewed Pasta with Escarole, White Beans and Chicken Sausage

Jun 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

So very good! I used parsley and cheese sausage, regular penne pasta and added one tablespoon butter at the end for richness. Not quite as healthful as Ellie's, but really tasty. My husband said it tasted like it came from our favorite Italian restaurant. And yes, all the escarole was eaten, which was a big surprise in my home."

Reviewed Baked Sweet Potato "Fries" with La Boite Spice Mix

Jun 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made these sweet potatoes exactly as the written recipe called for, using the brown sugar. I did cut my potatoes into more wedges than Ina, but that was because my potatoes were hugh. Loved them and so did my husband, who hates all things healthy. The spice blend added terrific flavor. We'll be having these again soon"

Reviewed New York Strip Steak with Spicy Coffee Rub

Jun 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This steak was fantastic. We couldn't find a prime dry-aged strip steak, so we purchased rib steak instead. The only changes I made to the rub was using less red pepper flakes and substituting himalayan pink salt for the apricot salt. The flavor was out of this world. The quality of the steak was superb and the flavor of the rub was perfect. Of c"
