"Delicious! At the time I used a store bought pie shell and if in a hurry it would be perfectly fine but I love crust,specially home made. So I will use a crust on the bottom and on the top.

"They were ok,tastes like peanut butter cookies.I thought the flavor of the cookie over powered the flavor of the jam.Loved the taste of the blackberry jam,maybe next time I will use a vanilla,lemon or other flavored cookie,one that would compliment the flavor of the jam,not over power it."

"I made this for my own birthday,thank god because I would have felt horrible giving that to any one else! I make cakes from scratch all the time and so far this is my least favorite.I did follow the recipe exactly,just so I could do it the way receipe called for,then improvise.
Yes the cake was dry but even if I did combat that problem I wasn't fond of the flavor,I even added more extract because I couldn't really taste it in the batter. If some one did like it I would suggest using a recipe with cake flour to lighten it up,because it was thick and dry,or possibly a more moist cake recipe then adding the extract.Also the frosting was so thick and sweet,it tasted like store bought white frosting from a can. I can honestly say I don't want to make this cake again.I think I would be better off with the real thing,an Old Fashioned Root Beer Float! No replacing the classics!"

"Very tasty,let me tell you! More delicious than expected! My sister who doesn't even like pears loved it! I had a bunch of Asian pears that I needed to use so had more pears than apples,but it turned out delightful! I did use the whole (lemon,juice and zest) which was perfect and which did not over power.Loved the crust,perfect seasoning,just perfect! I believe it will be gone by tonight!
