Reviewed Jb's Classic Belgian Waffles (And Variations)

Dec 25, 2013 in on Food.com

Finally a waffle recipe that doesnt involve separating and whipping egg whites and other time consuming techniques. Waffles for breakfast should be quick and delicious and this recipe makes it possible. The only changes I made was to add a little vanilla and use extra virgin coconut oil for the oil in recipe. Definitely delicious!"

I';ve always prided myself on the amount of TLC that goes into my homemade chili (it has lots of beer in it!) which simmers on the stove for hours... but since becoming mostly vegetarian, I had searched for a good vegetarian recipe that would still slightly resemble the texture of ground meat and offer adequate protein. I guessed quinoa, and...

I have looked for a blackberry cobbler recipe to make for my father, who claims it is his favorite dessert. This recipe was super easy and baked up beautifully. Although I own Ms. Katzen';s wonderful Moosewood cookbook, I lent it to a friend years ago and have yet to get it back. This is a delicious cake, however, I';m only rating it 4 stars because it is not a true pound cake. It';s moist and slightly denser than a normal cake. As healthy as lentils are, and as health conscious as I am, I really wish I enjoyed eating them. I do eat them, but I can';t say that I enjoy it. I had been craving gingerbread for weeks, and finally got a taste of one in a bakery... it was terribly disappointing. The only flavor was ginger. So I went home and sought out a PERFECT recipe that would satisfy that craving....

As far as spice flavor, molasses flavor, and texture these are wonderful! However they are very much lacking sugar and a pinch of salt.
