My Activity

Reviewed Quick Chicken Stir-Fry

"Quick and easy. Had most of the ingredients in house, all except green onions and noodles. I used rice while my 9 year old used Roman noodles. Taste is flavorful."

Reviewed Slow-Cooker Pork Tacos

"As another reviewer suggested I bought local chilies, put them in a pot to boil until tender, took seeds and stem off then blended all ingredients poured chilies puree over meat in slow cooker. Four hours later dinner was served. The meat was spicy and moist. Bone tender. This receipe is a keeper."

About Me

I cook to de-stress. Cooking relaxes me. I am not up to trying different things but I love to cook what I know different ways. Cook for the way it was meant to be eaten. Not battered and fried all the time.

My first kid is going off to college and that should free up a lot of my time. I plan on teaching myself with the help of foodnetwork how to bake and decorate deserts, mostly cakes and cupcakes. Pie dough is scary. Hard to manipulate.

Favorite Foods

Favorite foods is Soul food tied with American food. Love hamburgers. I will eat a mushroom burger. Love burgers. Grew up on Soul food and love hot water corn bread, chacha with greens and hot sauce.
