My Activity

Reviewed Rosemary Chips

"These were easy and had great flavor. My only concern was that I'm not sure if my mandolin made the slices thin enough. I used fingerlings, by the way, but will try yukon golds next time."

Reviewed Smoked Salmon and Vegetable Cream Cheese Bagels

"Really delightful! Served this for Easter appetizer before ham and everyone loved it. The vegetable cream cheese adds such a special touch versus just the normal plain cream cheese. I used my mandolin and "grated" the radishes (and onion for topping). I used my vegetable dicer device from Williams Sonoma to get perfect tiny cubes of the celery and"

Reviewed Strawberry and Mascarpone Granita

"So nice to have a lighter dessert for spring and summer! I accidentally put ALL the strawberries in (didn't save finely diced for topping) but seems still just fine to me! Will make again. Like one reviewer's mango idea. Mmm."

Reviewed Chorizo Mushroom Queso Dip

"Tasty? Yes! Used Mexican Chorizo and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Just be certain to DRAIN your chorizo and mushrooms before adding cheese. Mine was a little greasy but... still great flavor."

Reviewed Sweet Potato Casserole

"This turned out great, but honestly more like a decadent dessert than the side dish with pork chops that I was aiming for. I think it's probably b/c I used canned sweet potatoes since that was all I had on-hand. But, if you're in the same boat, don't be afraid to make this...just be prepared for it being super-sweet! I'll try it again with real sweet potatoes in a few months."

Reviewed Pork Chops with Golden Apple Sauce

"Loved it! Didn't use any ginger (not a huge fan) and only had granny smith apples and it still turned out sweet and delicious. I cooked the chops (in both phases) longer than recipe called for. Also, I like to cover while they are cooking...I think it makes them more tender. Will definitely make again."

Reviewed Involtini of Beef

"Great dish - will make again and again! My husband loved it! I didn't have any wine and so used beef broth and think it was perfectly complimentary. Also, used a little bacon since I didn't have any other smoked meat on hand. LOVE it!"

Reviewed Bacon Braised String Beans

"OH my goodness! These were PACKED with unbelievable, rich FLAVOR. Really makes you question if it's really a vegetable you're eating! I think next time I'll possibly pick out at least half of the little rendered bacon pieces before letting it simmer for 40 minutes (maybe I was supposed to do that??) so I end up with mostly just beans and some mushrooms. I just can't emphasize how savory and amazing these were. I know I can't go wrong when I choose to try something by Anne. Love her!"
