After making this recipe as written the first time and enjoying the flavors I made a few changes the second time, the reaon I only gave 4 stars. I added some leftover bacon fat to the oil to cook the vegetables and some red pepper flakes for a nice bit of heat. The hashbrowns seemed odd to me so I replaced them with diced potatoes that I started cooking...
