This may replace my standard vinaigrette. It was excellent. I couldn't recall from the episode what "sparkling white vinegar" was, so I used some champagne vinegar I had. Champagne vinegar is quite tart, so the dressing was a little sharp. I added about a teaspoon of honey to smooth it out and it was perfect. I also used a pasteurized egg yolk. "

I watched this episode, and I'm curious--just WHO were all those drinks for? She must have had two dozen of them set out on her "barscape," but she made a meal for four people, and said her sister and the kids were coming over...so who was going to drink all those drinks? Which, by the way, sounded disgusting..."

Does anyone believe that the show is done live and that when she says she's breaking for a commercial that she has the two or three minutes while they're showing commercials to do things? Three words for you: "video tape" and "editing."

I spread instead of slathering, and I think it really made a difference. It tasted like plastic packaging. Interestingly, it tasted like the plastic packaging that the tart came in. So I'm not sure. Clearly I did something wrong. I assume it was the spreading vs slathering of the whipped cream.

Come now, she DID add the chocolate sauce and the whipped cream. Just be thankful she didn't dump a bunch of "EVOO" on it, give it some dumb made-up name ("not quite a cocktail, not quite a sundae--it's a cockdae!"), and declare it "YUM-O!"
