Amazing lemon, moist CAKE-LIKE cookie, very much like a madeline! I use the zest of 2 lemons for the mix and the zest of 2 lemons for the glaze. Everyone loves these cookies! They also freeze extremely well once the frosting has hardened. I will always have a couple dozen in the freezer. You can also substitute the lemon juice & lemon zest fo...

Outstanding & so easy to make. Recipe was perfect. Better to use fresh blueberries, not frozen! I also tried this recipe using dried cranberries & orange zest (instead of blueberries & lemon zest, they were equally outstanding!! I give them both "10 stars"!

Reviewed Two Brothers' Chocolate Gobs

Jan 6, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were the worst Gobs/Whoopie Pies I've ever made. Bland, color too light, filling too gritty. I'm going back to my successful recipe I've used for years. I use Black Cocoa from King Arthur Flour and for the filling I use Dominoes Superfine sugar. Cakes come our really dark and filling is very smooth, no grittiness at all.

Amazing! Anytime we have guests over for dinner, one of the first questions they'll ask is "Are you making your stuffed veal chops?". For even better flavor, if you have the time, let them marinate in your fridge for 24 hours. I also brush the inside pocket of my chop with the balsamic vinegar & add a nice piece of red roasted pepper. You can experiment...
