Reviewed Crazy Lasagne: Lasagne Cacate de Modica

Nov 11, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I watched him make this recipe today and it looked so good! The fact that you don't have to layer anything, just very gently toss is all together I really like (that is the crazy part). Cook your ragu, add your (well drained) lasagna and gently fold in the ricotta mixture. I am making this tonight. Oh and he mentioned he used goat's milk ricotta....

I'm giving it 5 starts because I KNOW it will be yummy. I watched him make it on TV this morning. To Valpo4ever, he combined the ricotta and olive oil in a bowl and mixed it up and then just before serving tossed in the pasta and meat ragu. I can understand how it could be confusing not seeing him make it. He made the ragu, added in his cooked...

Reviewed Slow Cooker Pepper Pork Chops

Jun 5, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

LOVED this dish. Possibly, those of you who felt it was too salty didn't use Kosher salt and rinse the pork chops properly or maybe brined it too long. I used 1 1/2 inch bone in as the recipe called for and dried apples. My crock pot cooks a little fast so I checked the pork chops at 3 hrs once on low and they were done to my taste. This was "

DELISH! My grocery does not carry whole fire roasted tomatoes so I had to make do with regular whole tomatoes (Gia Russa brand is $$ but good). This was perhaps the simplest most delicious soup I've had in a long time. The eggplant really gave it a depth of flavor. My freezer is stocked with soup on hand for the next month - yeah!"

This salad was PERFECT! The tastes were so amazing. I would never have thought to pair peaches and blue cheese. What a delicious combination. We also made the Roasted Garlic Smear from this episode. It was just as tasty. Keep Michael Symon on the air forever."

Apr 22, 2012 in Recipes on Cooking Channel

Wow! I loved this. My husband not so much, he however is a filet guy and it may have been a bit overpowering on that cut of meat. One thing I noticed was that Michael only used half the lemon's juice and this recipe calls for the juice of the whole lemon. I think though, half is the right amount which is what I used following the show. I am goin"

Wow! I loved this. My husband not so much, he however is a filet guy and it may have been a bit overpowering on that cut of meat. I am going to use the left over to top some fish I am baking for my lunch tomorrow. Actually there are several vegetables I think this would dress up as well. Green beans??? I don't think Michael Symon has ever put o"

Reviewed The Ultimate Beef Stew

Dec 29, 2011 in Recipes on Cooking Channel

Five stars for incredible flavor! I used Burgandy wine as it recommended, which I think really helped not to overpower the broth. My stew broth was not as thick as we like it so I had to add a little cornstarch mixture and it was perfect. I'm sure the mashed potatoes would have added another level of flavor but I settled for everyday homemade m...

This was so comforting and delicious. Swiss Chard is expensive right now so I used kale instead and it still came out great. I love soup so I make several different batches on Sat or Sun and freeze them. When heading to work I grab whatever I feel like for that day. Saves money and my waistline.
