Reviewed Slow Cooker Georgia Pulled Pork Barbeque

Jun 22, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The roast was amazing; 5 stars. However, the vinegar in the sauce was way to strong. I added extra sugar and even catsup to tame it! Even still, it had quite a twang. I will make the pork over and over again. I will re-try the sauce with some changes though."

Reviewed Potatoes with Gruyere and Dijon

Jun 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We live in po-dunk nowhere. When I asked for Gruyere Cheese, the deli staff looked at me like it was a practical joke. I used 1/2 C Munster & 1/2 C Swiss. I should have used more cheese. We loved the addition of Dijon, which is a joke around here, too. So, I just used spicy brown mustard."

Reviewed Salisbury Steaks with French Onion Gravy

Jun 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We LOVED this! I used 2/3 ground beef & 1/3 ground pork, just for the fun of it. I removed the steaks, deglazed the pan with Red Moscato wine, poured the already made gravy into it and returned the steaks to the same pan. I t was awesome!! Thanks Rachel! We also made the "Gruyere Smashed Potatoes" to go with the steaks."

Reviewed Carrot Slaw

Apr 4, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We all LOVED the Carrot Slaw. We ran the carrots through the food processor, so they were more disk shapped. Therefore, the carrots stayed more crunchy, and added some extra texture that the long carrots would not have added.
Sweet, spicy, crunchy, chewy... awesome."
