My Activity

Reviewed Broccoli and Cheese Soup with Croutons

"I mean....WOW! This is reallly really suprisingly good! My family was blown away! I only made a couple changes 1) added about an extra 1/2 cup of stock and 1/2 cup of milk (it was too thick for our taste) and 2) used the frozen broccoli pieces and then only blended about 1/2 to 2/3 of them so the soup was still a little chunky. We like the broccol""

Reviewed Sausage-Bean Soup

"This soup was soooo good! Like previous posters, I upped the recipe to include 8 cups of broth, 2 cans of beans, 5 links of ital sausage (1 pkg), and 7 cloves of garlic. I also substituted kale for escarole and asaigo for parmesan. My husband and family absolutely loved it and it is nice enough to serve for company or as an upscale appetizer/soup ""

Reviewed Seared Mahi Mahi with Zesty Basil Butter

"Wow! This was so suprisingly good! My husband and daughter both ate it up like crazy!! I will definitely be using this sauce on other fish, chicken, etc. Such a simple way to take a meal to the next level! "

Reviewed Roasted Lamb Shanks with Lemon and Herbs

"Oh WOW! I really love what the lemon and herbs do for the lamb. I have only made lamb shanks with Indian spices, but I believe this will be my new favorite! Made it with mashed potatoes and a spinach salad. This recipe (made exactly as written except I only used 2 lamb shanks) truly delivers!!

Reviewed Shrimp and Coconut Milk Curry

"This was DEE-licious! The only changes I made was using a whole regular size can of coconut milk and using crushed cumin seeds instead of cumin (I was out). The flavor, color, textures, it was just SPOT ON! I will definitely add more heat next time, though. Definitely will be a next time!

Reviewed Hot Dogs a la Rose

"I don't think anyone is saying this is gourmet cuisine, but for what it is, it is wonderful!! So tasty! My husband and daughter had seconds and I just finished eating the leftovers for lunch. I made it exactly as the recipe states and put it in pita. My husband did say he would like more spice, but the spice level was right where my daughter (6) could handle it. Tasty, easy, family meal!

Reviewed Bayou Chicken Pasta

"My husband could not stop raving about how good this was!! He rarely eats leftovers, but ended up eating them for dinner the following night. He said he would love to try crawfish in it next time. This is so tasty! I'm not sure why it is listed as intermediate though. It was not difficult at all!

Reviewed Uncle Bob's Fresh Apple Cake

"This was soooo good! My husband said it tasted just like a bear claw (which, to be honest, is the best danish there is)! =) Couple changes; used 9x13 pan instead of bundt, baked for a little over an hour and it was a tad overdone, poked lots of holes in the cake with toothpick and poured glaze over while still warm! It's really fantastic!!! Would be perfect for brunch!!
