My Activity

Reviewed Oven-Fried Chicken

"I love Ina. I have made so many of her recipes, and they have all turned out perfectly. Many are now staples in my repertoire. I must say, however, that this one was strictly average. I followed the recipe exactly, yet the chicken was only so-so. It didn't crisp as much as it should have. I think maybe using even more oil, and initially fryi""

Reviewed Rainbows and Butterflies Pasta Salad

"This pasta salad was simple to make, and delicious! It is a perfect summer salad. It keeps well, tightly covered in the refrigerator, for 2-3 days. It is a healthy alternative to mayo-laced pasta salads, and I think it tastes better. I will make this again and again. Thanks, Ellie!""

Reviewed BBQ Pork Sandwich

"What a wonderful recipe! I cannot believe what good, smoky flavor it creates. The pork was moist, tender, smoky, aromatic, and delicious. (Tip: Bullseye original BBQ sauce is the ultimate topping to make this perfect, and Wright's hickory liquid smoke is the best.) I did apply the rub (including the garlic powder the night before, put the mea"

Reviewed Chicken with Tabbouleh

"Delicious salad, but I agree....way too much salt. Cut back on the salt, and it is perfect.

Love you, Ina! So many of your recipes are now a permanent part of my repertoire. I thank you, and boy, does my husband thank you! :)

Reviewed Raisin Pecan Oatmeal Cookies

"I made these for the first time last weekend, and the only change I made was to substitute chocolate chips for the raisins. They were, by far, the best oatmeal cookies I have ever eaten. I put them in an air-tight container, and they stayed moist and delicious for four days. Just the right amount of cinnamon, just the right amount of crispness on the outside and chewiness on the inside. Thank you, Ina. Another winner!
