Reviewed Stovetop Green Bean Casserole

"This is by far the best green bean casserole I have ever had- and so easy to make! My family has asked that I bring it to every family dinner from here on. I have even made the mushroom sauce and served it over pasta for a great "comfort food" meal. The only change I made was I reduced the cayenne pepper to 1/4 tsp. I know from experience that a f"

Reviewed Mixed Berry Pavlova

"Absolutely delicious! The directions are easy to follow and it really did not take a lot of effort or time. The mixture of textures and tastes is wonderful! I am making it again this weekend for my mother-in-law. One tip that Ina has always stated is use good quality vanilla for this. So much of the flavor comes from the subtle taste of the vanill"

Reviewed Meyer Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Macerated Strawberry Coulis

"Best pancakes I've ever had! My husband agrees. I can hardly wait to have our kids and grandkids up here to make it for them too. They are great with just powdered sugar and no other topping! Definitely a new family favorite. Thank you Anne!"

Reviewed Cherry, Almond and Cinnamon Granola

"I have made this at least a dozen times and it is always fabulous! I leave the coconut out (my husband isn't fond of coconut)and have substituted many different dried fruits- the cherries, raisins and dry cranberries are our favorite. I also took the advice of those who previously made this and add the dry fruit during the last 5 minutes, as well as reduced the heat to 325. The taste is wonderful. I make a big batch and use it as a topping for yogurt- both frozen and my special concoction- I take a quart of fat free plain yogurt, add 1 1/2 tbsp of agave nectar, 1 tbsp cinnamon and 1 tbsp good vanilla. Stir together. Whenever we want a treat we scoop out some yogurt, top it with a little sliced fresh fruit or sugar free jam and a handful of Ina's granola. Excellent snack! The grandkids love it too!

Reviewed Toasted Coconut Marshmallows

"What a fun recipe! I had never thought of making homemade marshmallows until I saw Ina do it on TV. My grandkids love them! 2 tips- as someone else said earlier- use good vanilla. The flavor definitely comes through so don't use the funky stuff. Also, be sure to sift the powdered sugar that you rest the mixture on. Clumpy powdered sugar will not scrape off once it sets- I learned from experience! For the litte ones at Christmas I made a batch of plain marshmallows and cut them into 2" squares, then put them on popsicle sticks, dipped them halfway into melted chocolate, then colored sprinkles, allowed them to set until hardened and bagged them individually with pretty ribbons. The kids loved having special treats just for them. Very fun recipe! We used the remaining marshmallows in hot chocolate. Yummy!

Reviewed Fleur De Sel Caramels

"These caramels are to die for! They are so smooth and buttery with that extra perfect bit of saltiness to compliment them. My granddaughter loves them- she refers to them as her "medicine" (with a wink- she is 16)and calls me to tell me she is not feeling well and needs more "medicine". I gladly make them because then I get to have them too ;-) I dipped some in melted chocolate at Christmastime and that was excellent as well!

Reviewed Cast Iron Skillet Corn Bread

"This is EXACTLY what I have been searching for in a cornbread recipe! Delicious and easy to make. We love the crust that forms around the edges and love that buttery taste that comes through in the batter. I can't wait to make it again. I plan to add a can of drained and diced ortega chiles to the mix for a little extra kick next time- but the recipe is great as is.

About Me

I am a public speaker, specializing in motivational speaking and humor. My husband and I enjoy playing with our 11 grandkids, kayaking, hiking, photography and trying new, fun recipes. We both love kitchen gadgets, so we are dangerous in a kitchen store!

Favorite Foods

I love cooking homestyle Italian food that my grandparents taught me how to make. I also learned to bake from them and ran a bakery from my home for quite  along time- so I love trying new goodies! My best dish is my lasagna- made exactly as my grandfather taught me. The whole house lights up when I make it- the smell is intoxicating! Don't really have a favorite restaurant, but my favorite food to go out for is quality sushi. So delicious!
