Put butter in before the cream which kept any sort of carmel ball from forming. Used half bittersweet, half semisweet chocolate. Not nearly sweet enough, so I added almost 2T of corn syrup before serving. Fabulous, smooth consistency...but not a total fan of the slightly burnt caramel flavor."

Sounds fabulous...but WAY too sweet. (I can't believe I just said something was too sweet, but this dish truly is.) Even my kids declined seconds or servings of the leftovers. This is one recipe where I'd say 'find something else'. I too threw out over 1/2 of the recipe.""
