Reviewed Italian Flatbread (Piadina with Fontina and Prosciutto

Aug 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

REally easy and good, only because I was too busy to make the bread at home and purchased a Multi-grain Flatbread at the grocery store. The mix was amazing. I added grinded garlic-salt from World Market to the Ricotta mixture. I brushed the flat bread with olive oil and baked it in a 400 degree oven at 4 minutes per side. Very happy with this! Hop"

Reviewed Chicken and Rice Casserole

May 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great and easy recipe! Good way to use up rotisserie chicken. I didn't have rice in the house so I used 1 cup of orzo pasta. It worked really well and soaked up the 2 cups of liquid without drying it out. I added a little sherry cooking wine to the broth mix too. I grated the Havarti that went on top."

Reviewed Spinach-Orzo Salad with Shrimp

Great dinner salad! I added some sherry cooking wine and basil pesto to the sauce. I was out of spinach and used green leaf lettuce. Just as good. Will definitely make this again!"

Reviewed Chicken and Asparagus Crepes

Apr 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Easy recipe! Great way to use up chicken. Great way to use up crepes. I put cream and ricotta in the sauce too, just to thicken it up."

Reviewed Barbeque Meatloaf

Mar 28, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very Tasty!! I used ground buffalo and it was great! I'm not a big fan of BBQ sauce so I was pleasantly surprised by this. It didn't overpower the meat. I really enjoyed this meal! So did my husband."

Reviewed Crispy Kale "Chips"

Mar 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My new found "go-to" snack! This was really easy, but I did have a few pieces that didn't get crispy. I will bake about 5 minutes longer next time. I used Truffle Olive Oil, and it was delicious!"

Reviewed Kale and Artichoke Dip

Mar 6, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Yummy! This is very tasty and so easy to make. I used fresh kale and just chopped it up. I also used marinated artichoke from a jar, and chopped them up. I used almost 8 oz of cream cheese to get the consistency just right. Great appetizer!"

Reviewed Bruschetta with Gorgonzola Cheese and Honey

Mar 3, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great and easy! Yummy!!! If Gorgonzola isn't a strong enough cheese for your tastes, I recommend a Stilton or even a goat cheese."

Reviewed No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars

Mar 3, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Amazing taste and just enough key lime for my taste buds. I am glad I started early, as it took 3 steps and 2 nights after work for me to finish this recipe. I thought it would be easy considering it was "no-bake" but the steps took longer than I thought. Great in the end and worth the time!"

Reviewed Tagliatelle with Smashed Peas, Sausage, and Ricotta Cheese

Feb 11, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very tasty! Great comfort food with a baguette and red wine! I used mild Italian Sausage because I can't handle spicy food. I added a bunch of fresh basil. I left the peas whole. I used a bit of chicken stock and heavy cream in addition to the pasta water. I added garlic salt and pepper to help flavor up the ricotta cheese. "

Reviewed Shrimp and Chorizo Stew

Feb 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was yummy! I served it with a baguette (which dipped in the stew very well!) and a Cotes-Du-Rhone Saint-Esprit 2010 French White Wine. It was wonderful. I do not do well with spice, so this was VERY spicy for me, but addictive. I used 1 cup chicken stock and 1 cup beef stock instead of water. I also put about 1/4 cup of heavy cream in when I "

Reviewed Green Bean Casserole with Homemade Mushroom Gravy

Dec 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Best green bean casserole I've ever made/had. The gravy was the perfect consistency, and incredibly flavorful. I even followed the recipe! Except ... instead of fried onions, I used bacon from Guy's "The Mean Green" recipe. "

Reviewed Pumpkin Cheesecake and Chocolate Cannolis

Reviewed Guinness Sundaes

Mar 21, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for St. Patty's Day to go with the St. Patrick's Linguine. The taste was fine, but it never really did thicken in to a syrup consistency. I had it on simmer for more than an hour. I finally gave up and poured it over Vanilla Bean ice cream. It tasted great! Something is not right with the recipe though and needs to be adjusted."

Reviewed St. Patrick's Linguine

Mar 21, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Easy and very good! I only used 1 cup of half-n-half and 1 cup of heavy cream and it was plenty of sauce. I added another 1/2 cup of shredded cabbage and will add even more next time. This is an awesome recipe! We loved it! Leftovers were good too!"
