My Activity

Reviewed Beef with Snow Peas

"Delicious. Made this for the first time tonight and followed the directions almost exactly, except that I added garlic and about a teaspoon of sesame oil to the marinade. The flavor was awesome and the meat was extremely tender. Everyone raved about it. "

Reviewed Grilled Stuffed Jalapeno Chiles

"I love to watch Marcela and I hate to give this dish a bad review, but it was just way too hot for us. When making the dish, she said that cooking the jalapenos first and then seeding them would remove the heat. Not so ... or at least not enough. I like spicy food, but I couldn't even eat a full one of these. I suppose if I had grown up eating"

Reviewed Moolicious Recipe Vanilla Ice Cream

"Sweet, creamy, smooth, very rich. A little goes a long way. Scrumptious."

Reviewed Lemon Fusilli with Arugula

"The lemons I used were very large, so I only used two, given the comments about the prominence of lemon. I didn't add the fresh lemon to the pasta at the end. Reviewed Corn Bread Crostini

"I made the whole Penny Saving Picnic of meal components for dinner tonight, and everything was great. But this Corn Bread Crostini was over-the-top fabulous. We all loved it. I used a three-cheese bread for the crostini. Wow. This would be an easy and well-received addition to any appetizer party, and it's an awesome side dish, too."

Reviewed Chipotle Cashew Chicken with Brown Rice

"This was awesome! I made it for dinner tonight and my husband said, "This one's a keeper!" The flavors are so powerful, and not usually combined in this way, so the result is a party in your mouth. I couldn't follow the recipe because I'm home sick with bronchitis and couldn't go to the store to get the things I lacked, but even using regular s"

About Me

I am a college administrator, writer, and singer with a BFA in art and an MA in education.  I have cooked since I was old enough to read and I love to please people with food.  I have two daughters and a terrific husband.

Favorite Foods

I just love to cook!  I don't really have a favorite food, except I love to eat pasta.  I'm allergic to seafood and don't enjoy fish.  I would rather make appetizers, soups, main courses and side dishes than dessert. My favorite chef on FN is Ina Garten.
