Reviewed Asian Grilled Salmon

Aug 8, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is delicious and no-fail. I cooked it because my husband likes salmon--I'm not a fan of fish. But this was delicious even for me. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfectly. There is a nice depth of flavor with the marinade both before and after cooking. A quick, easy, no-fail recipe. Ina's my favorite, and she never lets me"

Delicious. Made this for the first time tonight and followed the directions almost exactly, except that I added garlic and about a teaspoon of sesame oil to the marinade. The flavor was awesome and the meat was extremely tender. Everyone raved about it. "

I love to watch Marcela and I hate to give this dish a bad review, but it was just way too hot for us. When making the dish, she said that cooking the jalapenos first and then seeding them would remove the heat. Not so ... or at least not enough. I like spicy food, but I couldn't even eat a full one of these. I suppose if I had grown up eating"

Sweet, creamy, smooth, very rich. A little goes a long way. Scrumptious."

The lemons I used were very large, so I only used two, given the comments about the prominence of lemon. I didn't add the fresh lemon to the pasta at the end. This was very good -- my family loved it. I'm glad I didn't use three lemons, though, as the lemon taste would have been overpowering. I loved the different textures and flavors that pl...

Reviewed Corn Bread Crostini

Jul 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made the whole Penny Saving Picnic of meal components for dinner tonight, and everything was great. But this Corn Bread Crostini was over-the-top fabulous. We all loved it. I used a three-cheese bread for the crostini. Wow. This would be an easy and well-received addition to any appetizer party, and it's an awesome side dish, too."

May 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was awesome! I made it for dinner tonight and my husband said, "This one's a keeper!" The flavors are so powerful, and not usually combined in this way, so the result is a party in your mouth. I couldn't follow the recipe because I'm home sick with bronchitis and couldn't go to the store to get the things I lacked, but even using regular s"

Reviewed Mushroom Soup

Feb 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My husband and I, the only mushroom-eaters in the family, loved this. I had beef stock instead of chicken stock in the pantry, and it was delicious. Easy, too. Absolutely no overwhelming lemon taste, as mentioned by others. Used a hand blender and didn't blend it completely smooth because we like the chunks of mushrooms. I will make this again...
