Reviewed old-fashioned apple crisp

This was my first time making an apple crisp. Tasty dish. However, i will change the proportions significantly next time i make this.
1. Waaay too much sugar. Will use all brown sugar and half the amount next time
2. Half the amount of nutmeg and cinnamon. It kills the apple taste
3. Need to go a little lighter on the citrus....

yummy yummy. This is my third time making this recipe. Didn't have enough heavy cream. Ended up substituting with half cup heavy cream and half cup buttermilk. Makes batter more difficult to work with, but the texture came out much softer and moist. The lemon glaze is a perfect addition. Will be making many more times

Very tasty. It is important to use very good quality cocoa. I used Hershey's, but will be using Ghiradelli or Godiva next time. I have to admit I did not like the filling at all. I ended up throwing it away and making creme from combining condensed milk and butter. I think bovarian creme would go well here too. Also used a different technique to fill...

Will be making these again soon. Only thing I will do different, is that I will cut the ingredients for the glaze by about half. Had too much glaze left over. Other"
