I made these yesterday. I think the baking time is too long. I took mine out at 20 minutes, and they probably could have come out sooner as they seemed a bit too dry. I'm glad I read some of the reviews before I made this. I used a whole baguette, cut the white sugar in half, used heavy whipping cream, added a cup of chopped dates, and omitted the sauce. Warm with whipped cream . . . YUMMY!!! ""
