Reviewed Asparagus with Sesame Citrus Sauce
"I think it has good flavor, but I paired it with her Key Lime Salmon as she did in a video and the combination of the two just didn't play as well together as I was hoping. I think the glaze has a good flavor, however maybe pull back a bit on the sesame oil. However, next time I have a roll your own sushi dinner, I will definitively have this on t""
Reviewed Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes
"I think I these outdid Grandma's. My only suggestions are using fingerling potatoes and leaving half of them with skin on, pulling out the actual garlic before adding to the potatoes to prevent getting an overpowering bite and use fresh Parmesan ""
"Found this to be really easy and the flavors really came together in a great way. Paired it with a nice Mendoza Chardonnay and the butter and citrus of the two really complemented each other. ""

Reviewed Broccoli Cole Slaw
"My mother made this, or a similar variation, many summers when I was growing up. Extremely easy. Great to have when grilling out in the spring or summer, especially if you can keep it relatively chilled. ""
I grew up learning to cook from my mother, but I hadn't come into my own in that respect until recently. I find cooking very relaxing but I am not someone to follow recipes to a T.
I have always been a big fan of anything Mediterranean, especially if it comes from the sea. Growing up in the Oklahoma, we became accustomed to southern food as well. Lastly, having a grandmother who was born in Tokyo, sushi, both mild to wild, is always a favorite.
