Excellent recipe! There's a Mexican food place in Las Cruces that does wonderful fish tacos, they include a very similar salad and I've been wanting to duplicate it for a long time. This one comes darn close. We had a fried chicken night at my wife's observatory three weeks ago and I elected to bring three salads: this one, Anne Burrell's German...

KILLER recipe! Not too difficult a recipe, tastes fantastic. I've made it twice, once for a fried chicken evening at my wife's observatory, then again at my parent's house a week ago, and there were no survivors, err, leftovers. It's definitely going in to my arsenal of recipes. I might try adding some mustard next time, that seems to be a common...

Made this soup Thursday night and the flavor was quite good, but I'm knocking the recipe down one level because it says 'six potatoes', not X lbs of potatoes. It';s possible that this is a side effect of living at high altitude, we';re at 9,000';. I';ll continue working on the re...

Very good, insanely easy to make. I am of the 'sweet' cornbread preference, so I'll be messing the the recipe a bit the next time that I make it.""

Reviewed Old-Time Beef Stew

All respect to Paula, but I made two alterations that make it absolutely incredible. First, a tablespoon of bacon fat for browning the meat. Second, I use a whole box of low-sodium beef broth rather than the 2 cups of water. Also I don't add sugar. We like it more liquid, so we don't do the corn starch thickener. But it gave me a great base ...
