Reviewed Deep-Dish Apple Pie

Apr 13, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This was an amazing crust and amazing filling. So glad I didn't have to use so much shortening. I made it the day before and baked it and to my surprise, the next day it was just as crispy and flavorful. This will be my go-to apple pie."

And I kneaded a lot longer than the recipe said to ensure a soft, delicate bread. Even my 1 year old loves the taste of this bread!"

Reviewed The Ultimate Beef Stew

Jun 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This is the best beef stew in the world. I have tried it multiple times. And using pearl onions instead of chopped, gives it a more home-rustic look and taste. The only thing I would suggest is not to use the entire bottle of red wine because your stew will taste too much like wine and the flavors might get lost."

Both of these salsas are absolutely fabulous! Try making the salsas a day ahead to save time cooking and time cleaning up! You can even experiment with different meats in this, such as turkey!"
