"I made these for our son's wedding and then had to make more the next week because we couldn't get enough of them.
I'm a nurse nearing retirement and I like to cook for my husband and myself. Our son has been a sous chef in DC and our granddaughter is becoming a pastry chef. (She attends Johnson and Wales.)
I watch cooking shows for inspiration. I'll try the recipes but usually wind up changing something.
I like to try to find a way to make dishes I've had when eating out.
My family thinks it's strange that I will read a new cookbook from cover to cover before I try anything. I always say "How else will I know what's inside." (I mark the ones I want to try with a sticky flag as I read.)
