Reviewed buttermilk scones

I halved the recipe but inadvertently didn't half the buttermilk. I added more flour till it was less a gooey mess and made about six scones. Took 20 minutes to bake. These are 'murrican' style scones, though--more biscuity than crumbly scone. Too much baking powder, not sweet enough, but with jam or Nutella they were fine...just not classic Brit...

Reviewed Garlic Shrimp and Pasta (Low fat recipe)

Pretty tasteless. A fairly pointless meal. Only positive here is that its ';healthy'; and low fat, though the sodium is crazy high. I substituted low sodium chicken broth and added a smidgen of salt, but the only other interesting note was the sauce had a nice luxurious thickness to it from the corn starch.

Can';t speak yet to the quality of the actual results--but the description did NOT take into account the downtime of rising times...and two of them. I';m a regular baker, but it would be #@%!ing helpful to include this information in the opening segments discussing the time to be spent on the recipe, INCLUDING inactive time."

It was...ok. Same things you may discover...

- easier to take a sharp paring knife and fork to this to 'pull' the pork apart; while fairly tender, don't let the title of the dish give you any false hopes
- the chipotle sauce was hot and smoky, and to my taste buds, adding at least double the 2 tablespoons would certainly...
