Reviewed oven roasted broccoli

Jan 28, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

After doing the same broccoli preparation for years, we decided to try something new, and we are glad we did. The broccoli florets and stalk get nice and crisp in oven, and it has a nice garlicky flavor.

Reviewed Instant Pancake Mix

These pancakes are wonderful. Even my mother, who always makes the best pancakes, loved them. They were light and not too sweet. I added fresh blueberries and they were the perfect weekend breakfast!

Reviewed cocoa brownies

This recipe was very bitter and sour tasting from the large amount of cocoa powder. I would not make this again.

Reviewed chicken noodle soup

I used this recipe for the broth of matzo ball soup. The first time I made the stock, it was delicious, but the second time, all I could taste was bay leaf and grease. I wouldn't make this again.

Reviewed chicken pot pie

Even though I am not a huge chicken pot pie fan, this was delicious. I added dissolved one bouillon cube in the chicken stop, which gave it a deeper flavor. I liked the addition of the tumeric, which gave it a nice warmth. I also was pleased that it wasn't too rich, like some pot pies are. A definite make-again!

Reviewed meat sauce

This sauce was great! I halved the recipe as suggested, but it still made a ton. I did not add the bay leaves, but I am sure it would have been just as good with them. I did find the sauce a tad acidic, so I added about a teaspoon of butter to balance it out. I would definitely make it again!

Reviewed Pantry Friendly Tomato Sauce

Dec 14, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

This sauce was delicious and easy to make. My one criticism was that it was way to acidic, requiring me to add two tablespoons or so of butter. Other than that it was very good and tasted great in our chicken parmesan.

Reviewed Baked Bolognese

This recipe was truly delicious! Instead of the sauce that the recipe calls for, we used our normal Bolognese recipe, adding tomato paste for a more concentrated tomato flavor. We will definitely make this again!"

Reviewed Homemade BBQ Sauce

This recipe was very easy to make, and I liked seeing that there were onions in it. I didn't enjoy the overpowering molasses flavor, and the general the flavor was mediocre. I prefer the Neely's barbecue sauce recipe, and I wouldn't want to make this again. "

I have made this recipe many times, each being great. At first I would skip the cilantro, but then I added it and it gave the chicken a pretty, refreshing color. The flavor on the chicken is very authentic, and it is easy to make."

I made this dressing the other day and it was delicious! It was nice and citrusy, and tasted creamy, even though there was no egg or mayo. I used a little basil-mustard with the Dijon, and it added a nice herbaceous note. I would definitely make it again."

Reviewed Chef Anne's All-Purpose Pasta Dough

After months of anticipating getting a pasta machine, I finally purchased one about two months ago (Atlas 150-it works really well and isn't that expensive), and this is the recipe I have been using since. To prevent making a mess while making the pasta dough, I do it in a big mixing bowl, and then knead it on a big cutting board. The dough alwa"

Reviewed Vanilla Cupcakes

I just made this cupcake recipe, but baked it as a layer cake. The batter was very easy to make, and appeared light and fluffy, but when I tried it, it was dense. I would consider trying this recipe again for cupcakes, but the layer cake is not a repeat!"
